Auf der Superbooth18 wird Dave Smith Instruments den Prophet X vorstellen. Der Synth bietet eine Fusion von klassischer analoger Synthese und Sample-Verarbeitung.

Es handelt es sich beim Prophet X um einen Hybrid-Synth, der eine sechzehnstimmige (Mono), bzw. achtstimmige (Stereo) subtraktive analoge Klangerzeugung mit digitalen Oszillatoren kombiniert und auch Samples verarbeiten kann. An Bord sind 150 GB Samples, die Möglichkeit, eigene Samples zu laden, wird Ende des Jahres bestehen. Zwei Effektblöcke pro Layer sind aktivierbar und es gibt einen bis zu sechstimmig polyfonen Sequenzer und einen Arpeggiator. Der Synth bietet u.a. Sample-Timestretching, diverse Loop-Features, 4 Hüllkurven, 4 LFOs und eine ausgefuchste Modulationsmatrix. Für True-Stereo-Processing stehen je ein analoges 4-Pol-Resonanz-Filter für die rechte und linke Seite zur Verfügung. Der Synth soll 3999,- $ kosten

SAMPLE PLAYBACK

2 multi-sampled stereo instruments per voice with editable sample start, sample end, loop size, and loop center, loop on/off, sample reverse, and sample stretch
150 GB of factory-installed 16-bit, 48 kHz sampled instruments created by 8Dio. An additional 50 GB of samples can be added by purchasing additional sound libraries. User-sample import is planned for December, 2018.

OSCILLATORS
